- How do I engage a tutor?
- What are the rates?
- Rates vary according to a tutor's experience, and they start from $30/hour for primary 1.
- Recommended rates are derived from the last five transactions which are similar in nature. Upon filling in the required fields, you will be advised on a range of rates to expect.
- From here, you may indicate a rate you wish to pay.

- What are the Terms and Conditions?
- Upon completion of the 4th session (or the 8th lesson for twice-weekly assignments), Schtutors will issue an invoice to inform the parent of the payment details. Fifty percent of the total monthly tuition fees will then be collected from the parent.
- The remaining 50% of the tuition fees should also be paid directly to the tutor at the end of the 4th lesson (OR the 8th session for twice-weekly assignments).
- For the subsequent months, the tutor gets 100% of the tuition fees.
- If a parent chooses to stop the tuition assignment before end of the first month, he or she is required to pay Schtutors for the tuition sessions completed by the tutor, at the agreed rate. Schtutors will collect the full amount of tuition fees, and disburse 50% to the tutor.
- Schtutors will issue a payment invoice via e-mail for your perusal before collection of the administrative fees. You may wish to post the cheque to our office or pay the commission via ATM fund transfer/ internet banking. If there is a need, we can also send a representative to collect the administrative fees from your house at a time convenient for you.
- Change of Tutors
- To effect the change within the first four weeks, parents will have to pay the pro-rated tuition fees based on the number of lessons being conducted. You pay 100% of it to Schtutors of which we will take 50% as administrative fees and give the other 50% to the tutor directly.
- Example: Tuition fees are $400 for 4 lessons. If you decide to cancel the tuition or change tutor after 2 lessons, you will pay Schtutors $200. Schtutors will then take $100 before paying the tutor the other $100.

- Providing suitably qualified tutors is our business and we would like to assure you that all our tutors are current or ex-school teachers with a sound knowledge of the school syllabus. We have a stringent procedure for hiring our tutors and will assess all tutors before recommending your child to them.

- If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the tutor, you may call Schtutors for a change of tutor.
- Schtutors believe that our role does NOT end at the point of introducing a tutor. In the event of disputes arising within the first 4 weeks of an assignment, Schtutors is committed to helping all parties find an amicable solution.
